Karma Yoga - selfless actions

There are different branches of Yoga for each personality. Different instruments and tools, but all seeking the Union of the lower consciousness with the higher consciousness. All seeking YOGA.

Today I am going to introduce you Karma Yoga.

Karma means action. In this branch of yoga, through the selfless action of every day, union with the higher consciousness is achieved.

The main qualities are letting go, the spirit of service, and detachment.

Karma-yogis seek to untie the knots of karma through selfless action. Through detachment from the result, they do what they most believe to be correct without expressing themselves from their ego. Responding to the demands of life with conscious action.

When we can align ourselves with these selfless actions by shedding our sense of ego, that is when we connect with our DHARMA or purpose.

Your Karma defines your Dharma. Where you are is going to define what actions you have to do.

It is a job of living the present fully. When the ego is put aside, a higher level of consciousness automatically manifests.

Much of our anxiety is tied to a certain idea expected of an outcome. We do one thing to obtain other thing. And if we don't get that, we get frustrated. We get the wrong idea that we have the control, when we don't. This only brings unnecessary suffering.

Karma Yoga invites you to be in a relaxed mood. The pure act of Karma Yoga is to act resting on the result.

The "Bhagavad Gita" is the book that best explores Karma Yoga. As Krisha says to Arjuna: “Do what you do, but offer the fruits of it to me.”

Let your mind pull back from identifying with the doing. From being the protagonist to being an instrument through which the action happens, making disappear the feeling of individuality that limits and confuses us so much today.
